24 Blood Pressure Monitor
Ambulatory 24 Hour Blood Pressure Monitoring is performed at our facility and reviewed and reported by Dr Kypraios. Patients wear the monitoring device for 24 hours and the results are analysed on our premises.
24 hour ECG (Holter) Monitor
24 Hour Holter Monitoring recorders are fitted and in our practice rooms at Buderim, and the recording analysed by our technologist and reported by Dr Kypraios. This test is available as an open access GP referred service.
Cardiac Consultation
A cardiac consultation is an opportunity for patients to speak one-on-one with their doctor about their individual cardiac issues, including current symptoms, personal risks and lifestyle habits that can contribute to these factors.
Diagnostic coronary angiography
Dr Kypraios’ primary subspecialty interest is in diagnostic coronary angiography and percutaneous coronary interventions. He performs a large number of invasive diagnostic and interventional procedures every year at Sunshine Coast Private Hospital.
Echocardiogram
The echocardiogram has become routinely used in the diagnosis, management, and follow-up of patients with any suspected or known heart disease. It is one of the most widely used diagnostic tests in cardiology.
Interventional Cardiology
Dr Steven Kypraios has been performing angioplasty and stenting procedures on the Sunshine Coast since 2007, treating many patients with acute heart attacks, acute chest pain and unstable angina successfully with stent implantation.
Pacemaker and loop recorder implantation
Dr Kypraios is an experienced permanent pacemaker implanter and runs a large pacemaker follow up clinic. He also follows up implanted defibrillators, and implants diagnostic loop recorders for patients with undiagnosed recurrent syncope.
Remote Pacemaker / ICD Monitoring Service
Sunshine Coast Cardiology provides remote monitoring of implanted devices from all of the major manufacturers. Remote monitoring has been shown to increase safety by reducing hospital admissions, and saving lives.
Stress Echocardiogram
A stress echocardiogram requires specialised training and experience to perform accurately. Stress Echo can be a very useful non invasive way to rule out coronary artery disease. This examination is much more accurate than an exercise stress ECG test.
