After two decades of follow-up in more than 200,000 adults, researchers found that adherence to a plant-based diet rich in whole grains, fruits, vegetables, nuts, and legumes was associated with a substantially lower relative risk of coronary heart disease (CHD).
Last year, I put out my first top 10 tech list, and it received a lot of interest. So here is this year’s list, not in any rank order. There are more important advances than I list here, but I have focused on the ones that can make a real difference for patients.
This is for Mr Mellencamp and all smokers: Quitting smoking is the very best bet to have more “time to put things right.” Please don’t let your time run out too soon and leave us wanting more. And please, don’t ever let it be said that those of us who care stopped trying.
